Don't miss The Fibre Festival, Chipping Norton, Saturday 23 May!
Chipping Norton's annual Fibre Festival is back this May and it's going to be bigger and better than ever!
Held on Saturday 23rd May – and NOT 4 May as previously reported in our April issue – this year's super guest will be the king of colour himself, Kaffe Fassett! Kaffe will be delivering a lecture on his 'Life in colour' at the Chipping Norton Theatre at 2pm on the Saturday, so don't forget to book tickets!
Lesley Wildman, co-owner of The Fibreworks, commented, “It is our privilege to honour Kaffe’s contribution to the world of textiles with an exhibition of his work produced by local knitters and quilters over the past decades. We look forward to what promises to be an inspirational look into Kaffe’s world, giving us all a chance to bring the joy of colour into our lives. We are also running several workshops in the coming months taking Kaffe’s designs as inspiration and using our stock of his fabrics and publications.”
The lovely vintage tea van!
The hub of the festival, The Fibreworks, will be spilling out on the street to celebrate all things fibre with spinning demonstrations, handmade textiles, alpacas, locally produced yarns, a cute vintage tea van and an exhibition of handmade Kaffe designs.
